Wanabehuman

Wanabehuman is a blog for “citizen journalism” that reads more like a media website. This means that anyone around the world can contribute provided they meet the high standards of the site’s editors. It’s hardcore journalism for anyone who wants to take on the challenge. No room for nonsense here.

Visual Aesthetics – 8

World market trends and currencies, links on World, Opinion, Business, Sports are all present- it’s like you entered a news website. Downside? The site is best viewed with Firefox or on Mac, otherwise, squint away.

User Friendliness – 7

There a load of links but quite organized enough so that you don’t get dizzy. It really is Mac-user-friendly but PC users will get by.

Reading Enjoyment – 8

It’s serious reading for the serious lot. Edited mostly by BBC journalists, this one is a hard-hitting blog that caters to the educated and the opinionated. The articles are well-researched, lengthy and comprehensive and so are the comments.

Useful Info – 9

All the usual topics are covered and linked: World Politics, Business, Technology, Arts and Culture, Entertainment and the list goes on.

Overall Experience – 8

A journalist’s blog-heaven, Wanabehuman can be quite intimidating for the uninitiated but a well-spring of information resource as far as media web-blogs go. It’s a great site for students, political writers, and environmentalists. There are disclaimers, though, and you have to pass the bar set by the distinguished lot of editors.
