Oh! See What The Cat Drags In!
This is a very interesting blog, but not for the usual reasons. While most of the blog is about television and the usual personal rants, there are occasional posts, like the March 26th post, that show real insight and creativity. I would normally rate a blog like this a little lower- but I would love to see Kitty do more posts like this one.
Visual Aesthetics – 7
This isn’t a blog about visuals, but Kitty‘s visuals are not bad. They do what they should do- they stay out of the way. My only real problem is that she’s skirting the fine edges of the law by putting up photos that may have copyright restrictions on them.
User Friendliness – 7
This blog makes you feel as if you really need to be an insider to know what’s going on. There’s a lot of talk about television shows I don’t watch, for instance. But navigating is simple enough, and some of the details about Thailand and living there are fascinating, though I feel as though I’m getting glimpses through a darkened window.
Reading Enjoyment – 8
I would have scored this, and the whole blog, much higher if all Kitty‘s posts were like the one she did on her cousin, a rising Thai star. It was personal, insightful, and absolutely fascinating- not because it was about a celebrity, but because it showed Kitty‘s ways of dealing with her cousin’s celebrity. That doesn’t mean all posts should be like this one, but I really hope Kitty does more with this level of inspiration. Way to go! The television stuff- Kitty, write from inside, not from outside. Your writing is good. But I can find out about television anywhere.
Useful Info – 7
This also was good. Kitty is clearly a long-time blogger, and any beginning blogger could read some of her blogging and technical posts and learn a lot. More posts like this would be a gift to other bloggers.
Overall Experience – 7
I really liked this blog, though I was disappointed that it wasn’t all like the first post I read. This blog shows real promise, though. I look forward to seeing more of Kitty later. And I wish her luck with the dog and cat rescue site. It should be good.
