My Scratch Pad

This single Mom loves cats, her art and her kids, giving some thoughtful insight into life in the Philippines.

Visual Aesthetics – 6

Theres a large blank space on the opening page, before the first entry – which is probably because of my browser but still rather annoying. I liked her title design as it was unusual, but the faded flowery background was a little too 80‘s for my taste.

User Friendliness – 7

It is not the most well-organised of sites, so getting around and looking for interesting bits was not too much fun. Loading times were very quick though.

Reading Enjoyment – 7

Raising two young children, getting her life back together after what seems like a fairly recent separation – sounds like we’ve heard that story before, but Reia pulls it all off pretty well, and some of her experiences and insights do make for a good read.

Useful Info – 6

If you’re a cat lover, you’ll be pleased to find a bunch of cat paraphernalia – from cat water globes to cat checkbooks. Mothers should also enjoy a few links which will lead them to “Mom’s Family Calendar” and the like.

Overall Experience – 7

Reia likens her very personal blog like a cat’s scratch, which may or may not leave a mark. She says: “I make you feel special, whether as a friend or otherwise.. no malicious intent. I hug to show someone I love, welcome or appreciate, them. This is me“.
