Enigmatic Paradox

While the name of the site suggests an esoteric philosophical discourse, it actually takes up a rather practical (but nevertheless mysterious) concern: why do governments continue to do very stupid things? Very strong political opinions, but intelligently discussed.

Visual Aesthetics – 8

Very clean layout, with a dark blue and yellow palette. The carefully sectioned material also keeps the central reading area free from clutter. No particularly strong visual element, though.

User Friendliness – 9

Easy download time make it easy to quickly check the site when the boss isn’t looking. The writing is crisp and intelligent, and the blogger obviously takes great steps to make his point in a clear and logical way.

Reading Enjoyment – 9

Aside from the solid writing, it’s got good variety that’ll keep viewers coming back for more. It tackles several political issues, and intersperses blog entries with visual puns and excerpts from other sites
.

User Info – 9

The blogger is obviously very well-informed, judging from the sources he cites in his entries and the various perspectives he brings into his analysis. Gives you a “bigger picture“.

Overall Experience – 9

While the name of the site is a bit misleading, once you’ve shaken off the expectations that you’re in for a Zen meditation process, you’ll have a really good time.
