No it isn’t about Kermit and the author isn’t a polliwog. Polliwog is the author’s nickname and I think the fun upbeat sound of it fits the blog’s look and tone.
Visual Aesthetics – 10
Very nice, clean and pretty look. The colors blend perfectly and the pinks are not overdone even though Polli professes to be obsessed with it. There aren’t that many images in her entries but the great header and the way the content is laid out ensures that the blog looks pretty enough without having to resort too plentiful images.
User Friendliness – 10
Positives: Fast loading time. Highly readable text. Distinct links. Informative posts. Non-irritating and even interesting plugs (the Help my Blog. Shop here part). Organized sidebar. Easy navigation. Negatives: None.
Reading Enjoyment – 9
So far most of the blog posts are just the right length and have interesting and very varied topics. Not the best in terms of literary style but I enjoyed them anyway since the paragraphing made it easy to skip less interesting parts.
Useful Info – 10
Even with still very limited posts this blog already proves to be full of useful information. Let’s just hope that this keeps up as the blog gets older.
Overall Experience – 10
A very very new blog that looks very very promising as well. From design to content, Polli’s labor of love shows through. If this keeps up then Polli deserves more than just a Bloggy but a whole bagful of awards. It is after all harder to maintain a great blog than to start one.
