Deglazed

Perfect example of someone who summoned up enough guts to pursue with the thing he is most passionate about – cooking. Deglazed is a chef’s personal blog where you will mostly find stories about his daily life (which of course means lots of stuff about food), some recipes, and reviews.

Visual Aesthetics – 10

Gray template made colorful by all the wonderful images of ingredients and cooked food.

User Friendliness – 9

Positives: Fast loading time. Readable text. Distinct links. Informative posts. Simple and very organized sidebar. Negatives: Too vague categories. Almost everything falls under Deglazed.

Reading Enjoyment – 9

The writing is good and pretty entertaining but they are almost always way too long. You will get through many posts but will probably feel like skipping portions of just as many posts as well. The About Matt section is a must read to be able to fully appreciate the blog without to having to read though the entire archives.

Useful Info – 10

Pretty good listing of Food Blogs in the Links section. Lots of random information (about food and cooking of course) in each post. Great recipes.

Overall Experience – 9

Matt’s enthusiasm in cooking will either rub off you or bore you to death, depending on your leaning. A must-read for food lovers and as cooking enthusiasts.
