Visual Aesthetics – 9

This site has an excellent minimalist lay-out: simple, no-frills and well-organized for easy and direct reading. The lists of archives, categories, links and other information are all placed on the right side so all you have to do is scroll down to see what you’re looking for. Plus points for the two-column arrangement. The “less is more” principle truly applies to this blog’s design.

User Friendliness – 9

While the font used is very easy to read, Darren still installed a readability option so you can choose to enlarge or reduce the size of the text. The categories are alphabetically listed, with generic topics for easier searching.

Reading Enjoyment – 9

Tech and science fanatics will truly enjoy this site. The pictures and links imbedded in the articles make reading the entries a cool and informational ride.

Useful Info – 9

There is no shortage of links to related tech sites and previous entries. Almost every entry has images attached so readers don’t have to search further to see what the subject looks like. While long sentences and grammar slips by at times, the general writing style is simple and direct. Technologically-challenged visitors need not waste more brain cells just to comprehend.
