Cancer Talk

Cancer Talk

“Cancer”. It’s not just as astrological sign anymore.? This is the sobering headline in 24-year old Amanda‘s blog. Journaling life since her husband was stricken with Leukemia last year (he’s 25), Amanda does a brave and wonderful job of sharing her experiences with the world, telling us what its really like to have cancer so young.

Blue, grey and designed simply, this blog looks as it makes you feel slightly depressed, sympathetic and grateful at the same time.

User Friendliness – 9

Extremely easy to find things and get around. Well-organised with speedy loading.

Reading Enjoyment – 8

It obviously isn’t easy, but Amanda does a marvelous job of keeping positive, being thankful for the little things and doing what she can to fight this hideous disease (like running a marathon).

Superb resources and links on cancer awareness, leaning towards young people with this disease.

Overall Experience – 8

Amanda adamantly says that she doesn’t want her story to be one of those “human courage” crap-stories that downplay the devastation that cancer breeds. Well, after reading her posts, I have to say that her story does resonate with one thing – human courage.
