Canadian Forces in Afghanistan
The title says it all this blog is not about politics or issues but simply gives the latest news, videos, and photos of the Canadian Forces stationed in Afghanistan.
Visual Aesthetics – 9
A pretty neat and together look though there’s just a bit too much going on in the sidebars. The images don’t always make for a pretty picture (they’re in Afghanistan after all!) but are very effective and apt.
User Friendliness – 10
Very user friendly. Readable and easy to navigate.
Reading Enjoyment – 8
The entries are not always that enjoyable though you can get hooked by merely looking at the pictures. Editorials are great though and if you have a loved one in Afghanistan then the posts will be of great interest. They might not always be as informative as you would like but at least it gives you an idea of what’s happening out there. A turn off is the redundancy in the end of the posts where the latest operation is usually summarized. A good idea would be to simply put a link at the end of the posts to the operation summary.
User Info – 10
Very very useful blog. Not only for family and friends of the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan but also for those who might be interested in joining the Canadian Forces. A very informative section of the blog would be the Canadian forces Operations in Afghanistan part where you can read about the past and present operations held in that country.
Overall Experience – 9
A very very good blog and if the entries didn’t contain a lot of redundancies (in operation descriptions) this could have had a Bloggy Award.
