Richard Detrich’s Boquete, Panama Weblog
The blog of minister, author, and business man Richard Detrich, the Boquete, Panama Weblog offers its readers a view of this part of the earth.
Visual Aesthetics – 8
The visual simplicity of the blog makes it quite pleasing to view. The background is plain white and the text black. There is a smattering of relevant photos relating to the posts. Recently, though, some of the posts have been quite long and not laid out in a very attractive manner.
User Friendliness – 9
The blog is generally neat, with the links clearly arranged in the right column. Some of the recent posts could be chopped up and re-arranged a bit, though, for easier reading.
Reading Enjoyment – 8
Some of the posts were quite enjoyable, especially as I felt that I was seeing Boquete and Panama as a whole from a “local’s” point of view.
Useful Info – 10
This is the strongest point of the blog – it contains tons of information for anyone who is interested in Panama. I think that even if you were not that interested in the first place, you just might end up wanting to pay this country a visit after reading this blog!
Overall Experience – 8
A good blog for travelers and would-be travelers. I suggest some tweaking with regard to layout and formatting, though.
