Very very user friendly. Has all the necessary elements like fast loading time, readable text, a very organized and intuitive sidebar for easy navigation and even this cool feature from Answers.com. If you feel like finding out more about ANY word in the blog all you need is to double click it and out pops the answer! I of course tried it and found out what an oliphaunt is. My only gripe is that there’s no link to the previous page at the bottom. Since I wanted to read more I ended up browsing back posts via the Archives. There’s nothing wrong with the Archives but it’s more convenient to just click on previous page when you get to the bottom.
Reading Enjoyment – 9
I don’t know what it is about his entries but I found myself reading and reading beyond what I needed to simply make a review. True that they are well written enough but they aren’t rapturously great either. It doesn’t matter though because what’s important in the blog world is that you can engage your reader’s attention like it did mine. Never mind the fact that it’s almost all about Jesse and that some posts tend to get a bit long. Jesse definitely knows how to write and make his life sound like fun.
Useful Info – 10
This blog has plenty of useful information and points you to useful ones too. I mean the AnswerTip feature is useful enough but he also dishes out Chavacano phrases for thos interested in learning a new language. Movie lovers would also find this a useful place to stop by while Philippines should probably pay him for his pictures which would draw tourists from all over.
Overall Experience – 10
Definitely a Bloggy Award Winner. It felt like a great tourism site to me but with wonderful anecdotes all over. He might like Dilbert but I’m that someone as fun as this guy will never be as dry as Dilbert. As witty maybe…but never dry. A colorful blog by someone with a colorful character.
