Ink Artist

Art, art and more art. Not the kind of highfalutin art that you can’t understand or ordinary people just don’t have any chance of ever making themselves. This blog is about “rubber stamping, scrapbooking design, personal discovery, and stampin’ up!”. This is practical art.

Visual Aesthetics – 7

Very feminine looking and but not as artistic as the artist/author can be. I shouldn’t really complain since the computer is not her chosen medium for creating art. The header is nice but the sidebar has too much going on that you don’t really know whether to look left or right. At least she managed to organize it so that it’s isn’t too messy.

User Friendliness – 8

Readable posts that are categorized very simply yet effectively. Not the bast in terms of navigation though since you’ll have to spend some time scanning the sidebar looking for whatever feature you need. A new window also pops out when you click on read more or on links to other pages.

Reading Enjoyment – 7

Not a literary blog you would think that it’ll be full of boring instructions. The author manged to stay away from posts like that and more of shares ideas you can implement on your own. Posts that do contain instructions are not really boring or are easy to follow since she uses pictures to accompany each important step. I wouldn’t really say that it is an enjoyable blog though. Good informative entries but no “page turners” here.

User Info – 10

Lots of useful info for budding artists and scrapbook enthusiasts. Whether you head on to the Ink Studio Tutorials or simply read blog posts you’ll surely find something you can use here.

Overall Experience – 8

A very informative blog on rubber stamping and scrapbooking. The blog needs a little organization but content-wise you can’t really complain much.
