Black Belt Productivity

Black Belt Productivity is all about mastering the art of stress-free productivity. Filled with great ideas and practical advice, this blog is extremely effective at what it sets out to do.

Visual Aesthetics – 8

The site design isn’t jaw-dropping, but it is very clean and polished (aside from the awkward footer). The site could certainly use some more graphics within the content itself. Some visual learning aids, if you will. However, the header graphic is thematically successful in drawing our attention to the main point of the site: Getting Things Done.

User Friendliness – 10

The site navigation is spot-on perfect. The user is presented with all the information she could possibly want: information about the authors of the site, contact information, and even a “site primer” for getting up to speed quickly. In fact, I like the “site primer” idea so much that I’m going to start using it on my own blogs in the future.

Reading Enjoyment – 9

These authors are very good at organizing their information and getting straight to the point. The content isn’t flowering with literary flourish, but it isn’t meant to! This is self-help writing that’s compelling simply because it addresses the most important thing modern man needs help with: how to accomplish as much as possible, in a stress-free way.

Useful Info – 10

Straight-forward, practical advice. The “Get Things Done” primer is a fantastic introduction to the method that the authors espouse. It is truly a model for other blogs to follow and solves the temporal ordering (rather than logical ordering) problem that blogs normally face.

Overall Experience – 10

While the site could use a bit more visual enhancement, the content and organization is where this blog succeeds. For anyone looking for tips to maximize your accomplishments in an organized, stress-free manner, Black Belt Productivity is the place to get your training!
