Bloggy Award

Street Anatomy
A blog on medical visualization, that’s how Vanessa Ruiz describes her blog. She is a graduate student in Biomedical Visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her blog aims to promote medical illustration and 3D medical animation.

Visual Aesthetics – 10
The overall visual theme of the blog is quite simple – grey, black, and white. What wows the reader are the pictures that you can find all over the blog. The pictures are simply wonderful – from real looking anatomical parts to cute drawings of the human anatomy, any reader will surely get hooked looking through the posts.

User Friendliness – 10
Despite the large amount of pictures, the pages load up very quickly. The layout of the blog is very user friendly as well. Categories, links, and comments are all in the middle column while the ads are in the rightmost column – definitely not in the way of the reader.

Useful Info – 10
From hypochondriacs to mere lovers of anatomical art, the blog has some to offer. You can even find cool gifts relating to the human anatomy!

Overall Experience – 10
A new and very interesting experience awaits readers of this blog. I highly recommend Street Anatomy.
