THE imadeit SHOP is your one stop shop for all sorts of DIY arts and crafts. This blog is also aimed at sharing the blogger’s love for eco-friendly ideas.

Visual Aesthetics - 10
From the custom header to the pictures in the individual posts, THE imadeit SHOP offers eye candy. The overall look of the blog is clean, making for pleasant viewing.

User Friendliness - 10
THE imadeit SHOP is a very user friendly blog - all the relevant links can be found in the right column and within the posts as well. You will not get lost navigating this blog and you will also find additional information with the click of the mouse. Oh, and pages load up very quickly.

Reading Enjoyment - 10
I am one of those people who were not blessed with much creativity and perhaps this is why I appreciated THE imadeit SHOP a lot as I went through their posts. The ideas are presented simply and make you want to be able to do something similar!

Useful Info - 10
THE imadeit SHOP scores perfectly - again - because it is packed with so much useful information regarding the niche it belongs to. Nothing more needs to be said.

Overall Experience - 10
THE imadeit SHOP is an excellent blog for those who are interested in arts and crafts and eco-friendly ideas. I would bookmark it if I were you.

to the Left of Bill is a blog full of the thoughts of, you guessed it, Bill. He tackles all sorts of topics from politics to racism to programming - name it, he’s got it.

Visual Aesthetics - 8
The blog has pretty colors - pastel on a white background. That fact makes it easy on the eyes of the reader. One thing that you would definitely notice is the lack of other visual elements to give the blog that extra kick.

User Friendliness - 7
I love how quickly the pages of the blog load but to the Left of Bill is sadly lacking in other user friendly elements. There are main tabs at the top of the page - Home, About Me, Music, and Shows - but aside from the blog roll and a couple of other links, I did not find any other help navigation-wise.

Reading Enjoyment - 10
Word of caution: to the Left of Bill is not for the fainthearted. Bill is not one to pull his punches and he says what he thinks. And I think that is what makes his posts entertaining.

Useful Info - 9
Not much by way of practical information in to the Left of Bill although you will find a LOT of insights and thoughts to ponder. Trust me, you just might find yourself thinking more after reading Bill’s posts.

Overall Experience - 8
The strength of to the Left of Bill lies in the ideas of the blogger and the way he presents them. With some more work on the physical aspects of the blog, it will go a long way.

Just Apple is the blog of a young man in his early 20s from Malaysia. He describes his blog as “a new beginning of a long lost apple, is the prelude of a dream, a brighter future of an apple, is the growth of technology, a stronger core of an apple, is the immortality of innovation.”

Visual Aesthetics - 10
Just Apple is one pretty apple, if I may say so. The template is cool to the eyes and there are plenty of photos and drawings, created by the blogger himself.

User Friendliness - 9
Just Apple is very organized and easy to navigate. There are only 2 columns and all the relevant links can be found on the right column. The only minor issue I had was with the load times.

Reading Enjoyment - 8
Aside from the cuteness of the blog and the drawings in the blog, I have to say that I didn’t really have much fun reading through the posts. Perhaps this is because I do not really know the blogger and his commenters and friends would certainly contest my point of view.

Useful Info - 7
There isn’t much by way of useful information in the pages of Just Apple. That is not to say that you cannot get tidbits of insights and enjoyable reads from time to time.

Overall Experience - 8
Just Apple is one good personal blog that friends of the blogger will certainly find interesting. If you’re up for some nice drawings and pictures, you will also appreciate this blog.

The Pit And The Pendulum is a blog that is all about a short film of the same title. It also provides information on other events and activities relating to the film.

Visual Aesthetics - 9
I like the dark theme that The Pit And The Pendulum makes use of as it matches the idea of Edgar Allan Poe’s works. However, I found the contrast between the font and the background is a bit hurtful to the eyes. In other respects, The Pit And The Pendulum provides enough visual pleasure in terms of graphics and videos.

User Friendliness - 8
The pages of The Pit And The Pendulum load up with no problem at all. There are also relevant links that can be found on the right column. I did have some trouble finding out more about the blog’s general nature in a summarized form. The archives section could also be relocated to a more accessible position.

Reading Enjoyment - 10
The Pit And The Pendulum is well written and provides for an easy read. Though I am not particularly interested in the topic that the blog focuses on, I believe that those who are into it would find this blog very enjoyable to read.

Useful Info - 10
Fans of The Pit And The Pendulum will definitely find a lot of useful information in the pages of the blog. From what critics have to say to DVD releases - all these can be found in the blog.

Overall Experience - 9
The Pit And The Pendulum is a good niche blog catering to a very specific audience. It presents a lot of information in a pretty good way that those concerned will find very useful.

Visual Aesthetics - 10
Cheekie Monkies is very appealing to the eyes. From the color scheme (teal green predominantly) to the arrangement of the individual elements, Cheekie Monkies makes sure that its readers have the best visual experience. There are lots of photos of the children throughout the blog, making for a fun viewing time as well.

User Friendliness - 9
It is very easy to navigate Cheekie Monkies as all the relevant links are within easy reach. The font colors and size make for easy reading. I encountered a minor issue in the loading of the pictures, though.

Reading Enjoyment - 8
I pretty much enjoyed browsing through some of the posts in Cheekie Monkies. They are full of visual complements and you just can’t go wrong with children having fun! However, I do not think that anyone who does not know the children and their family all that much would enjoy coming back on a regular and frequent basis.

Useful Info - 8
Cheekie Monkies does not offer much by way of practical information as it mostly documents the experiences of Ashton and Ayden. Still, there posts wherein you can gather some information on places and activities that your own children might find interesting.

Overall Experience - 8
I applaud Cheekie Monkies - I am sure that Ashton and Ayden will surely appreciate having this blog to read when they grow up. It could actually serve as a good example for other parents who want to document their children’s lives in the same manner.

The Bob Files is the personal journal of a professional writer, a blogger, and a music lover - among many other things. Bob, writes about most any topic under the sun and shares his eclectic collection of thoughts in The Bob Files.

Visual Aesthetics - 8
This is perhaps the point in which The Bob Files can use most work. The overall look of the blog is alright - it is clean and neat, with not much space wasted. However, it could use some additional visual elements that can provide some eye candy. Do take note that I am talking about the main blog entries - there are enough graphics in his other pages.

User Friendliness - 10
The Bob Files scores perfectly in this area as there simply is nothing to complain about. The 3-column template contains everything you need to navigate the entire blog. There are also no problems with load time.

Reading Enjoyment - 10
Bob is one talented writer. Despite the fact that the first time I heard of him was when I read his submission e-mail, I found myself breezing through his posts and enjoying what I was reading. Go check out his About Me page and you’ll see what I am talking about.

Useful Info - 10
This blog has tons of content - from text to art. I have to say that I have not been able to see everything but from what I have experienced, this is one blog from which you can get a lot of useful information.

Overall Experience - 9
The Bob Files is one blog that I would not mind bookmarking and visiting every so often. It is frequently updated with enjoyable and useful content - highly recommended!

…nobody famous is the blog of Singaporean student, Jan. He describes his blog as the “Musings of a homosexual student’s life Singapore -a widely homosexual unfriendly
city-state; touching on boys, boy issues, parents, sexuality, spirituality, self-esteem, weight, his love and hate for food, scandals, and the uphill challenge to fit into the mould this conservative society expects of him, to be “normal”.”

Visual Aesthetics - 9
The overall look of …nobody famous is neat and clean. There isn’t much by way of “bling,” which is a plus, really. There are some pictures in the posts, which break the monotony of black text on white. Perhaps a little more sprucing up on the visual side would give this blog a bit more of an edge.

User Friendliness - 8
Navigation-wise, …nobody famous scores perfectly. The blog only has 2 columns, giving enough space for the entries and the relevant links. You won’t find yourself lost as there are links to the categories, archives, and the like. The big drawback is that you get a pop-up for an ad as soon as you enter the blog URL. I also experienced some load time problems.

Reading Enjoyment - 8
Try as I might, I did not really find myself enjoying myself thoroughly as I read the blog posts. There were some posts that I did like - the poem about self love, for one - but in general, it didn’t work for me. Fans of Britney Spears would probably disagree - you can find content about her in …nobody famous.

Useful Info - 7
There are some insights to be found in the pages of …nobody famous. It is actually a well-written blog which reveals much of the blogger’s life and personality. In that respect, you can gain useful insight from the blog.

Overall Experience - 8
…nobody famous is like stepping into the world of Jan - and I really admire this blogger for being so brave as to open up to the world in this manner.

Zmogo
Zmogo is a relative newcomer to the world of tech blogs. They cover the latest news and updates on tech gear, video games, and the like.

Visual Aesthetics - 10
Zmogo has a very clean look, which can be hard to achieve for blogs with this much content. The main background is white, which contrasts nicely with the black font and subheaders. There are photos in the individual blog posts, which add to the visual experience.

User Friendliness - 10
This is a very strong point of Zmogo. As I mentioned in the section above, Zmogo has a lot of content but the bloggers have managed to organize their content in such a way that it is easy to navigate through the blog. The main page has sub sections clearly labeled, making it easy for users to find content by topic. Another good point is that the pages load up in no time at all.

Reading Enjoyment - 10
Though some of the blog posts are a bit long by ordinary blogging standards, I enjoyed reading through them. The articles were informative and written well, making for an easy and enjoyable read.

Useful Info - 10
Zmogo is open to bloggers writing for them - this probably accounts for the tons of content that you can find in the blog. They do have strict editorial requirements, though, and this makes for quality posts. As such, you can expect to come across a lot of information that you will find useful if you are into tech stuff.

Overall Experience - 10
Zmogo is another tech blog that has something to offer their readers. With their requirement that all their posts must be unique and high quality, Zmogo is worth bookmarking.

Mom Dot
Mom Dot is THE place that mom bloggers go to - at least that is what the tag line states. After spending some time browsing through the blog, I am inclined to believe that tag line. I am no mom but I can see why this blog has gained a huge following.

Visual Aesthetics - 10
Mom Dot packs a lot of content in its pages and I suppose that it was a great challenge to keep the visuals neat and pleasing to the eyes. The people behind Mom Dot are quite successful in bringing a beautiful visual experience to their readers despite the immense amount of information that they are offering. There are posts, ads, photos - and everything in between. The elements do not clash with each other, though, and really makes for a good viewing experience.

User Friendliness - 10
Again, with so much content, I can imagine what kind of a challenge one faces in making a site user friendly. Mom Dot is once again successful in this respect. The links are very easy to find, I found it easy to browse through the different sections, thanks to the organized categorization of the topics. Best of all, I didn’t have any problems loading the pages!

Reading Enjoyment - 10
Whoever said that when a woman gets married and bears children, her sense of humor disappears is totally wrong! Even a quick look at Mom Dot will show you otherwise. The women behind this blog are witty and fun. Some of their posts even touched something inside me, making me consider having a child soon.;)

Useful Info - 10
Behind all the wit and fun, Mom Dot offers a lot of useful information. You can read up on parenting, relationships, and even get lots of free stuff!

Overall Experience - 10
I really have to say that Mom Dot is the place where blogging moms go and if you have not gone there yet, you should go ahead and do it now!

Our Everyday Things is very appealing visually. The overall look is neat - no clutter that children make everyday! The background is plain white but it is spruced up by the numerous photos that are included in most every post.
