The Spruce Blog is the extension of Spruce Advisers, a group specializing in providing strategic assistance to organizations. Their services tend to cater to investors and philanthropists, with a special focus on technology and social change.

Visual Aesthetics – 10
I like how The Spruce Blog looks, as it is very clean. At the same time, it makes use of visual aids that not only help in understanding the information better, but all provides a break in between text blocks.

User Friendliness – 9
You can navigate The Spruce Blog either via the archives or the section for most read posts. It would be nice to see a tag or category section as well, to make searching for specific information easier.

Reading Enjoyment – 10
Whether you are an investor/philanthropist or not, I think you will enjoy what The Spruce Blog offers. As long as you are interested in technology and social change – and other related topics – the posts will get you reading and thinking.

Useful Info – 10
The blog is definitely full of useful information for today’s Internet user who is interested in making an impact.

Overall Experience - 9
The Spruce Blog is highly recommended! As I said, it doesn’t matter if you are an investor/philanthropist or not. If you want a meaningful read, this blog is a must visit.

Apartment New York City
Are you currently feeling the effects of the economic crisis more than the average American? Do you live in New York City? If so, the blog Apartment New York City might be what you have been looking for. This blog is dedicated to those who are un-housed and/or unemployed in the Big Apple.

Visual Aesthetics – 7
I love the header of Apartment New York City – it seems to fit the theme of the blog perfectly! However, the rest of the blog seems to be lacking sorely in the visual aspect. The color theme, which is gray, is good, but the fonts which are light and really small do not add to the attractiveness of the blog. The formatting also takes away from the visual experience. I could do with less intrusive ads, for one, and more relevant photos would be nice.

User Friendliness – 8
There is not that much content in terms of blog posts so it should not be that hard to move around the site. However, I think that the archives and labels could be found in a better location so as to assist readers more. Also, the ads and formatting also make for more scrolling on the reader’s part. This aspect could use some work as well.

Reading Enjoyment – 9
The site is more for informative purposes than to amuse anyone but it generally has well-written posts that make for an easy read. However, there were some posts which I could not understand due to abbreviations. Now I understand the need for such abbreviations in the classifieds but the blog is not really short on space so I think it would be much better for the words to be spelled out.

Useful Info – 10
This is the strongest point of Apartment New York City. There is a lot of useful information to be found here. From free events in NYC to cheap housing to recipes – one can find them in the blog.

Overall Experience - 8
I admire the concept of the Apartment New York City. It could just use some tweaking as detailed above, in order to make it more attractive and easier to use.

The Nut Box is the personal blog of a university student living in Manila. At the young age of 19, he shares his views on life – some of them serious, some of the on the lighter side.

Spiral Equilibrium
Spiral Equilibrium is a blog that helps promote social awareness. It is very new but the concept is very relevant to the world situation today.

Visual Aesthetics – 9
Spiral Equilibrium has a message to convey and it focuses on that. Its layout and design is very simple – no frills here but it works.

User Friendliness – 8
As there are only several posts as of this review, it is quite easy to navigate Spiral Equilibrium. What I would like to see are relevant links within the posts themselves so that readers would not have to search for additional information themselves.

Reading Enjoyment – 10
I rather enjoyed reading the posts in Spiral Equilibrium. They are factual and straight to the point while at the same time, the writer infuses his/her own ideas.

Useful Info – 10
Very useful information is to be found in the pages of Spiral Equilibrium. Relevant issues that we may not be aware of in detail are expounded on in the blog.

Overall Experience - 9
Spiral Equilibrium has a whole lot of potential. The concept is great and the writing good – just a little more building up and tweaking and this could be a hit in its niche!
