It has a header, which I think could be more “polish oriented” but perhaps there are limitations because of the template?

I didn’t have any problems with load time, in spite of the number of photos in the blog. I have a couple of suggestions to make it more user friendly, though. One, change the location of the Archives and add a labels section. These can be both placed higher up on the page for easier access. Two, add relevant links within the blog posts. For posts with specific brands of nail polish, it would be good to be able to visit online shops and official web sites featuring them.

Snappy Fashion, Style & Odd Stuff has a very simple template, with a plain white background. The countless photos found in the blog more than make up for the plainness of the background, though. The blog also has a distinct header, which I found very compelling. I think that it could be re-sized, though, as it seems to be too overpowering.

I had some problems with load time and I think that this could be due to the large amount of photos in the blog. There are a lot of links which you can use to find more information on fashion. There really are a lot of these, which will delight a lot of fashion enthusiasts.

I think, though, that it would be better if the “About Me” section, the “Archive” section, and “Label” section were placed in a more accessible location.

Avant Gaudy is one of the most unique fashion blogs that I have seen in a while. The name alone should give you an inkling of what is in store for you in this blog.

Visual Aesthetics – 10
Avant Gaudy makes use of a very simple template. Again, this is a perfect example of how simplicity can be of great beauty. Photos – lots of them – make up for the simplicity of the template. For someone who is not really into fashion, I was really taken with the visuals in this blog.

User Friendliness – 10
It is very easy to navigate this blog. There are relevant links within the posts. The archives and the categories are also very accessible in the right column. I did have some issues with page loading times, but I think that it was more due to my Internet connection, which has been acting up all day.

Two Thousand Things uses a very simple template. The background is white, which is quite perfect for all the photos that she uploads in each post. Being a fashion blog, Two Thousand Things does not disappoint by way of eye candy.

There is a lot of info to be found within the pages of Two Thousand Things. I did have an issue with the load times, though. Perhaps it is due to the affiliate links? My browser kept saying “Transferring data from [outside link].” Also, I would have preferred the labels and archives section in the upper part of the page, for easier navigation.

Reading Enjoyment – 10
I am not a fashion enthusiast but the way Tigerlily presents her posts is very interesting. She has a good mix of text and photos; but the most interesting thing for me is that she actually talks about her own experiences. She does not merely get photos of models parading fashionable clothes – she actually shows what she has in her wardrobe.

Pink Apples Weekly has a very cute header. It is quite simple, just the (pinkish) apple and the blog name but it is pleasant to look at. There are also lots of pictures within the blog posts, which make for a pleasant viewing experience. However, the blog might have gone overboard in terms of simplicity. There is just too much white space in my opinion, but that’s just me!

User Friendliness – 8
With regard to navigation (links) and loading time, Pink Apples Weekly aces this category. My concern – and it is a big one – is the color scheme, which makes it almost impossible to read the links and other information, especially on the sidebar. This can easily be remedied.

Reading Enjoyment – 10
The fashion police has me on it’s perpetual black list but I do know good stuff when I see it – and Pink Apples Weekly definitely has some excellent material. My favorite are the lights for the house. That post is wonderful!

If the visuals of Cheap Jap is an indication of the advice that you can get from the blog, then you are all set. The template makes use of a denim background and the posts have fashionable pictures scattered all throughout. All the individual elements comes together seamlessly.

Cheap Jap scores well in this aspect. Navigation is a breeze with the relevant links found in the right column. I would have liked to see a chronological archive section but that’s a minor thing. The pages also load up very quickly you don’t really have to wait to see the content.

For someone whose strongest suit is not fashion, this kind of blog provides an entertaining read. Although I could not relate to the passion for the clothes and accessories, I had fun reading the lighthearted material found in Cheap Jap.

Definitely a veritable treasure trove of useful information on fashion – that’s how I want to describe Cheap Jap. There is a lot of information to be had here, all of them practical, especially for those who put a premium on their appearance without necessarily paying an arm and a leg for it.

Cheap Jap is a very good blog both in terms of text and visual content. There is never a dull moment as you browse through the posts, which seem to provide something new all the time.

Le Cose Amato scores perfectly in this regard. From the color scheme (pink and beige background, black and teal text on white) to the header (very vivid graphical representation) to the photos in the posts – everything has been designed so as to provide the reader with the ultimate visual experience.

It is quite easy to navigate Le Cose Amato since the relevant links are found in the left column. I really like the fact that the sources of the photos are all listed there as well. As for loading time, there was no problem despite the huge amount of pictures. I would have liked a little more info in the blogger’s About Me section, though.

I am not a big fan of fashion but I found myself going through the posts and enjoying myself. I think that the blogger is highly successful in engaging his readers, not only because of the excellent choice of photos but because of his utilization of other methods to elicit interaction. These include polls and quizzes that are related to the pictures in the post.
