There is a growing awareness about the need for more sustainable sources of power. However, up to this day, most homes are still powered by gas and electricity.

This is understandable since gas and electricity are also the most readily available power sources. And though there are more environmental friendly alternatives, most people either don’t have the know how to be able to shift to these alternatives, or don’t have the money to do so at once.

The good news is that more and more electricity providers are realizing that there really is a need to shift to more sustainable sources of power, and are doing their part to slowly help people make the shift as well. Instead of simply supplying gas and electric power, they are diversifying their services to selling and even installing solar panel systems. Electric companies are also encouraging consumers to help ease the burden on the power grid during peak hours by offering special rates to those that use more energy during off-peak hours and weekends. Some even get rebates for plugging into the electric grid and allowing power companies to tap into their stored power when needed.

This are small but very significant steps towards changing the future pattern of energy use in the world. If you wish to do your part and learn more about electric consumption and ways to do it in a more environmental friendly manner, you can visit www.synergy.net.au. Remember, the shift to sustainable energy will only happen if consumers embrace it.

The background of Reduce Footprints is very pleasing to the eyes and fits the theme of the blog well. However, it could do with some visual sprucing up in terms of the header and the addition of images to the posts. The placements of buttons and adds can also use some work.

Reduce Footprints has a lot of content but there are no issues whatsoever regarding load times. Eco Salon answers the question “How do you go green without sacrificing style?” The blog presents all sorts of ideas for people who want to help the environment out without letting go of style.

Visual Aesthetics – 10
The visuals of Eco Salon are excellent. The blend of light green and salmon pink is surprisingly pleasing to the eyes. More so, the posts are well-complemented with relevant images and the general layout is very coherent.

User Friendliness – 9
The home page of Eco Salon is well-organized, making sure that readers will find it easy to find what they want. There is also a search function that enables readers to enter keywords. Other features that make it easy for readers include links within the entries themselves, related posts at the bottom of each entry, and popular posts in the right column. One thing I did not find was an archives section.

Reading Enjoyment – 10
I had a grand time reading the entries at Eco Salon. They are all well-written and very informative. Even those who are not very conscious about the environment would be able to glean some practical tips from the blog.

Useful Info – 10
The content of Eco Salon is excellent. The information presented is practical while at the same time does not compromise one’s sense of style.

Overall Experience - 10
Eco Salon is a blog that everyone must visit and bookmark. Content-wise and form-wise, Eco Salon is a good example of a user-oriented blog. Thumbs up!
